We've prepared a short video to demonstrate logging into MinistryDirect.com.

First, access “MinistryDirect.com” in your internet browser.

You’ll see a gray button below the Search bar that says “LOGIN.”  Click LOGIN.

Your MinistryDirect.com account is accessed securely through AGPassport.  AGPassport is the authentication tool used by all of your National Office accounts.  Most ministers already have an AGPassport account, even if you may be unfamiliar with your login information.  If you don’t know if you have an AGPassport account or if you’re unsure of your login credentials, click the link “Do I have an AGPassport Account?”

Enter your username.  For most ministers, this will be your minister’s number found on your minister’s card.  Enter your password. 

You’ll immediately be directed to your MinistryDirect.com News Feed, your portal to ministry connections.

Once you’ve logged into MinistryDirect.com, you’re automatically taken to your Profile.

Here, you can update your “Status” to let your MinistryDirect.com colleagues know what’s on your mind.  We’ve also gone a step beyond “what’s on your mind” to “how can I pray for you.” You can enter any prayer need you’d like to share with your ministry colleagues here.

Click “EDIT PROFILE” to make changes to your Profile information that’s displayed to other users.  Also, many changes here will also update your record with the National Office.

Click “Browse…” to find an image on your computer that you’d like to use as your Profile picture.  This is how your friends will recognize you.  Images that are sized square will display without being distorted.

Editing your PASSWORD or EMAIL ADDRESS will affect your MinistryDirect.com account and your AGPassport account that you use for other AG websites.  Editing your ADDRESS INFO will send a request to Secretariat at the National Office to review and process your change of address.

If your legal first name on file with the National Office is different than the name you go by, click EDIT on the Displayed First Name field and enter the first name that you’d prefer MinistryDirect.com users to see.  Your last name will be retained automatically.  This will NOT change any name information held at Secretariat or any other department of the National Office.

Personal Info and Church Info are fields that only apply to your MinistryDirect.com account.  These provide other users a little more information about you as they’re searching for friends.

We've prepared a short video to demonstrate finding friends on MinistryDirect.com.

First, login to MinistryDirect.com using your AGPassport account.  You’ll automatically be directed to your Profile page.

Click on FIND FRIENDS to begin searching for friends.  MinistryDirect.com currently has more than 2,500 AG ministers that are registered as users.  You can search them and send them friend requests here.  Remember that MinistryDirect.com accounts are connected with your National Office account. This means that the user’s name will display as it does in the Minister’s Directory, unless the user has updated their Displayed Name in their Profile.  You can search for friends by First or Last Name, City, State, or Church Name, if they’ve entered it in their Profile.

Another convenient way to find friends on MinistryDirect.com is through Groups.  You can find more information about connecting through MinistryDirect.com Groups in the next section.

Click the MY HOME tab to return to your Profile page.

You’ll see a sampling of your friends on your profile page.  VIEW ALL will direct you to a directory of all of your confirmed friends.

When someone sends you a Friend Request or a Group Invitation, it will display in the Requests area of your profile page.  Click Accept or Decline.

First, login to MinistryDirect.com using your AGPassport account.  You’ll automatically be directed to your Profile page.

The My Groups module allows you to view, join, or create groups.  Groups that you are currently enrolled in are displayed as icons in you’re My Groups module.

Click JOIN GROUPS.  This will lead you to a master list of public groups on MinistryDirect.com.  Here, you can see the group name, description, number of group members, and any recent discussions that may be taking place within the group.  Click to JOIN or LEAVE any group in this listing.  After joining a group, you can post random thoughts or tips to its Message Board, join in organized Discussions, share Links, and find new Friends from the group members.

Click on MY HOMEPAGE to return to your MinistryDirect.com Profile page. 

VIEW ALL will lead you to a listing of all of the groups that you are a member of.

CREATE A GROUP allows you to create your custom public or private groups.  After clicking CREATE A GROUP, you’ll see the “Start a Group” dialogue box display.

Enter the fields that as you are prompted.  Once you click SUBMIT, your group will be created.  From here, you can begin inviting MinistryDirect.com users from your Friend list or from the general directory of MinistryDirect.com users.

We've prepared a short video to introduce you to the blog functions of MinistryDirect.com.

First, login to MinistryDirect.com using your AGPassport account.  You’ll automatically be directed to your Profile page.

Click MY BLOG to access your personal MinstryDirect.com blog.  It’s actually that simple!  You’re blog is already set up with your MinistryDirect.com account.

Click ADD A POST to add your first post.  For Title, enter the title of this post.  Under the Content area, add the text of your blog post.  Here’s a helpful hint… Do you have a blog that you host off of MinistryDirect.com?  Copy and paste the content of your blog directly from your site into the Content area.  It will paste over your blog with all formatting, including embedded video.

We've prepared a short video to introduce you to adding content to MinistryDirect.com.

First, login to MinistryDirect.com using your AGPassport account.  You’ll automatically be directed to your Profile page.  From here, navigate to the area where you’d like to add your content.

As a logged-in user, you see ADD AN ARTICLE, ADD A TOOL, ADD AN EVENT, and ADD A LINK appear on the area’s main page.  For now, we’ll ADD A TOOL.

Here, you’ll name the tool that you’re adding.  Next, apply a category to the tool.  If the tool your adding implies a level of difficulty (e.g., a project), assign the difficulty here.  If this does not apply to your tool, leave it blank.  You can click “Select image…” to browse your hard drive for an image to apply to the tool.  If you leave this option blank, MinistryDirect.com will assign a default image to your tool.

Next, enter the author/creator of the tool and their web address.  Enter a brief description for the tool that will let other users know what you are sharing.

Unlike other social networks, MinistryDirect can promise you an exclusive community for ministry ideas and sharing with fellow credentialed ministers.  To ensure a secure environment for your MinistryDirect experience, we verify your status as a credential holder through your AGPassport account.  Credentialed AG ministers, this is your network!

Ministrydirect.com profile pictures display best as 250x250 pixel images.  Any image in excess of these dimensions may automatically crop or resize to accommodate the displayable area on your profile page.  The following graphic formats are accepted: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif

Your ministrydirect.com password is also your AGPassport password.  To edit your password,  you may navigate to your profile and change your password under Account Info by clicking the EDIT button.  Please remember that this also changes your AGPassport password

AGPassport allows you to use one username and password to access all AG secure sites and resources. Based on the attributes attached to your username, you can also reach protected areas and information tailored especially to your areas of interest and responsibility.

Your personal information is securely retained through AGPassport, the one username and password you need to access all AG secure sites.  As an official site of the Assemblies of God, ministrydirect.com retrieves your personal information securely from your AGPassport account.

To report an item as inappropriate, please click the REPORT button after the comment.  From the drop down menu, select the appropriate reason why the information is inappropriate, followed with any additional necessary information that you would consider helpful.  The MinistryDirect staff will be notified and review the reported comment as soon as possible.

Video files should be less than 25MB and in one of the following formats: .wmv, .mov, .mp4, .avi

Audio files should be less than 25MB and in one of the following formats:  .mp3, .wav

Graphic files should be under 5MB and in one of the following formats: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif

Document files should be under 5MB and in one of the following formats: .doc, .xls, .ppt, .pdf, .odt, .odp, .docx, .xlsx, .pptx

A tool becomes Most Popular based on the number of downloads that the item has received during a specified period of time.
